L’Occitane and Carbios unveil a PET bottle created from enzymatic recycling in Europe

THE WHAT? L’Occitane-en-Provence and Carbios have unveiled a next-generation improvement within the model’s mission to eradicate virgin plastic from its retail supply. The duo introduced a bottle in clear PET made completely from enzymatic recycling for the French pure cosmetics model’s Amande bathe oil at LuxePack.

THE DETAILS The bottle was made with a European worth chain dedicated to circularity, with native PET waste deconstructed into authentic monomers after which repolymerized into new, totally recycled PET resins in Europe. The resins have been then blow-molded in France in response to L’Occitane’s specs earlier than being stuffed at its Manosque plant.

THE WHY? This European strategy optimizes the environmental advantages of the expertise and the life cycle evaluation (LCA) of every product, by decreasing transport distances and integrating native assortment and manufacturing processes.
